Axiell Quria Ideas

Welcome to the Ideas Portal for Quria users!
Axiell invites customers to contribute ideas for new features or functions. While we can't develop every suggestion, your input helps shape Quria’s roadmap. You are welcome to add ideas, vote on others’ suggestions, and discuss them. To make this portal more effective, please submit your ideas in English.

Ideas are regularly reviewed by the product manager or local representative. Once reviewed, the ideas are visible for voting and discussion. Popular ideas will be prioritized within our backlog.

Status meanings:

  • Under investigation: Developers and specialists are discussing if the idea is possible to implement.

  • Planned: The suggestion will be fulfilled in some way in a foreseeable future

  • Future consideration: A good idea, without technical obstacles, but it can't be prioritized into the roadmap at the moment.

  • No action: Technical or other issues prevent development, or an alternative solution exists.

We reserve the right to reject ideas and to close issues after 3 months if we don't receive answers to follow-up questions.

For technical issues, please contact your local support.

Displaying more metadata to ease merging and catalogue maintenance

We need a better way to sort, filter and display metadata in Collections > Search than Is currently available. The Vikenvgs catalogue, the result of merging around 60 separate school library catalogues into one, is very time consuming to edit and merge.

When merging manifestations, expressions and works, we need to access each separate manifestation to find the given ISBN or EAN, and then try to remember these when merging W/E/Ms by using the basket. This is both time-consuming and a source of possible errors and mishaps.

We want a more transparent way to handle, merge and edit W/E/Ms. One option could be to design a module for such merging and editing, with the possibility of displaying, sorting and filtering by the necessary data fields. Another option is allowing more data fields to be displayed in the Collections and Items searches.

The option of displaying ISBN and EAN on post of a given work, would be a most welcome addition. This is connected to QURIA-I-883, which has been assigned the status “Future consideration”.

    HI

Thank you, we are working with specifications for tools that can make it easier for all libraries to perform catalogue maintainance and this is great input.

    Regards
