Axiell Quria Ideas

Welcome to the Ideas Portal for Quria users!

Axiell wants to get our customers to be involved in the roadmaps suggesting ideas for features or functions. Unfortunately we cannot develope each and every function suggested but we want to make sure that you have your say. Add your ideas, and opinions to Axiell's roadmap for Quria, creating new features that yours and other libraries would benefit from. You can also vote for other peoples suggestions as well.

In order to make this portal more useful for all the contributors and for us that work with your ideas, we kindly ask you to write in English.

Please note: If you have an error or a misbehaving function, please contact your local Support for the best possible service. If you are not sure what forum that is the most appropriate for your issue, please choose local support as a first step.

How it works:
The ideas are read and reviewed on a regular basis, by product manager and/or local representative. Your ideas will then be available for others to see, vote on and discuss. We encourage discussions between the idea contributors.

Successful ideas will the be prioritzed within our backlog.

What does the status mean?

Under investigation - often there needs to be a discussion between developers and system specialists before we can say if something can be developed, how and when.

Planned - this suggestion or need will be fufilled in some way in a forseable future.

Future consideration - this status means that we think that it's good idea with no technical obstacles but it's not decided if it can be prioritized and put on the roadmap.

No action - in some cases it is impossible to meet some requirements for technical or other reasons, and sometimes there is another alternative way to solve the need.

Right to reject and close
We reserve the right to reject ideas, and also close issues after 3 months if we don't receive an answer to our follow up questions.

Suchbarkeit von Reihen in Medien - Sammlungen/ Search for series in Collections - Items

It would be good if you could search for series in the media search in collections. For example, we have the "Minecraft Freedom" series. If I enter this in "Search", all seven titles that we offer in the library are displayed. If I want to look at the loan numbers and enter the series in "Media", I get zero results because the "Media" search obviously does not search in the different levels, but only in the individual copies. Or is it possible to determine the "number of loans" of rows? If so, I haven't found them yet.

    Hi,

you are right, series information is not searchable in the "medien" search and that is a decision that we have taken due to the datamodel and technical structure of Quria.

In the regular collection search "everything" is an can be indexed. In all other places where bibliographic information occurs we we need to limit what kind of bibliographic data that is indexed. I see that this is not so well described in the Help, which we should improve. In the Was ist neu in Quria- section there is a release note from April 2022 that describes it a bit.

All searches around Quria that involve collection metadata have been tightened up so it will be more obvious what is possible to search on, for example regarding collection items, reservations and subscriptions. In each refined search area, there is also a common Title information section with the same content.

Note: For Collection search and Titles in demand there are more search options, and this is not affected by these changes.

The following data is searchable in all title related searches:

    • Title

    • Creator name

    • Publication year

    • Shelf mark

    • Language

    • International standard numbers

    • Manifestation type

    • Target audience

    • Literary form

    • Classifications

    • Subjects

It is possible to add series here in theory, but right now we need to keep it as it is for performance reasons.

But understand that it would be nice to have and I will keep it for the future.

I wish you a nice weeked!

    Regards

    Magdalena
