  • Planned: The suggestion will be fulfilled in some way in a foreseeable future

  • Future consideration: A good idea, without technical obstacles, but it can't be prioritized into the roadmap at the moment.

  • No action: Technical or other issues prevent development, or an alternative solution exists.

We reserve the right to reject ideas and to close issues after 3 months if we don't receive answers to follow-up questions.

Message texts: a variable for SHELF / Nachrichtentexte - Mahnungstext - neue Variable für Regal - Anzeigen von Regal

Hallo,

Hello,

it would be nice, if the variable {{ItemList}} would be supplemented by the position "shelf". This function is helpful. So the user and the librarian know, where the items are to find or what kind of item it is.

Before we send a reminder to the user, we controll all reminders, if they are correct. For checking this, we are looking before at the shelf, if the item is already there or not. If not, the reminder would be sent to the user. Until now we have to look after every single item for their shelf in Quria.

    Hi,

    Thank you for this suggestion!

Since these notifications are aimed to be read by patrons we don't really like the idea of printing shelf information on them. It would also be difficult to make it useful since it would require that we also put branch, department and section in the itemlist. A book might belong to library A but be checked out in library B and so on. The item list will be very long.

So unfortunately we will not be able to make this change.

    Best regards

    Magdalena Olofsson
