Welcome to the Ideas Portal for Quria users!
Axiell invites customers to contribute ideas for new features or functions. While we can't develop every suggestion, your input helps shape Quria’s roadmap. You are welcome to add ideas, vote on others’ suggestions, and discuss them. To make this portal more effective, please submit your ideas in English.
Ideas are regularly reviewed by the product manager or local representative. Once reviewed, the ideas are visible for voting and discussion. Popular ideas will be prioritized within our backlog.
Status meanings:
Under investigation: Developers and specialists are discussing if the idea is possible to implement.
Planned: The suggestion will be fulfilled in some way in a foreseeable future
Future consideration: A good idea, without technical obstacles, but it can't be prioritized into the roadmap at the moment.
No action: Technical or other issues prevent development, or an alternative solution exists.
We reserve the right to reject ideas and to close issues after 3 months if we don't receive answers to follow-up questions.
For technical issues, please contact your local support.
Could you add a button for cancelling or changing the set temporary location for an item when checking it in? Items circulating between branches in the large high school base are often returned ahead of time.
When checking in such items, one must scan the item, notice it has a temporary location, edit this location, remove the item from the the check-in, scan it once again, and then it lets you print a return slip og reshelf it.
Streamlining this operation would save us some time, and reduce the chances for incorrect shelving or shipping
Hi,
Now I understand that this is a bit messy for you. Since you want to borrow books over the account borders you need to work with temporary location. I have discussed this internally and we see some improvements that can be done. I am not sure when they can be delivered, though.
Best regards
Magdalena
There are two main scenarios for using temporary locations in Viken vgs.
When we want to loan an item from another school library, the easiest way to do so is normally to ask about it in our joint Teams channel, ensuring that a librarian with both the capacity and the knowledge to find, manage and ship the item will take care of it. We have experienced that this more hands-on method is less prone to delays and errors. The majority of the school libraries have only one librarian, with varying degrees of capacity.
We often loan class sets from each other. A typical example is one school library sending 30x of the same books to another school library. If these books are returned ahead of time, we have to follow steps 1-5 in the attachment for each of the 30 books, to have them be returned properly.
Scenario 1 will lead to mis-shelving, missing returns and confusion about availability. Scenario 2 will cause significant extra work, or lead to sub-optimal approaches or workarounds.
Please see the attached PDF for a visualization.
Hi,
Can you give me more information about how you are using temporary location in your organisation?
Best regards
Magdalena
